Testimonial Serafino in Buenos Aires

Serafino, Italiano, periodista free lance en Argentina en el 2008 y 2011:

“Argentina Exchange was my first contact with Buenos Aires and helped me incredibly during my stay in 2008. As a free lance journalist, I initially moved to Argentina for six months and thanks to AE my arrival was a smooth and comfortable as possible. I had no previous contacts in the country, but their staff helped me in everything I needed: from housing, to mobile, Spanish courses and transfers around the country. I also found it easier to contact local newspapers through AE, which made my experience in Buenos Aires even more useful than I expected. I have just returned to South America, three years after my first visit, and yet again AE was here to help me: their staff members have now become great friends of mine and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any student/professional who wishes to move to Buenos Aires”

Serafino Ingardia is an Italian journalist who works for several newspapers and websites in both England and Italy. He has also collaborated with the BBC and Liverpool FC.

“Volunteering through Argentina Exchange is an incredible experience. Today I went to the foster care center. When I arrived I was greet ed warmly by all of the children and the coordinators.I spent the afternoon doing various activities with the kids: helping them with their homework, reading stories to them, and playing silly games on the playground. I also helped them tidy their rooms, served them

snacks, and helped out with other little tasks around the house.

The children were so sweet and seemed really excited to have me there. It was such a rewarding feeling to know they were having a good time and that I could be there to help. It is a great program, and I’m glad I can be a part of it. I can’t wait to go back!”

“As an expat and newcomer to Buenos Aires, I cannot say enough about how great it has been volunteering

for Argentina Exchange. Notonly have I been able to volunteer at my time and convenience, but

Argentina Exchange has gone out of their way to match my interests to the needs of the community

(I am a history staudent and want to work with children, and they were able to match me with

volunteer work in a foster care center and with helping a museum). Additionally, I have found that this program has been a great way to meet new people and make friends from all around the world! I would encourage all, whether your time in Buenos Aires is temporary or permanent, to join Argentina Exchange!” -Megan
